From a monolithic template to 12 versioned Nuxt Layers

I broke a monolithic storefront template into 12 Nuxt Layers published as independent repositories (core, catalog, checkout, account, CMS, chrome, SEO, analytics, modals, routes, types and docs). Each client store became a thin theme shell that inherits the layers by SHA pinned in its own lockfile, with a local toggle for development. Components and composables are shared across every store, with SSR caching in Nitro and LCP preload computed per breakpoint.

Migration & Integration · VTEX IO and Nuvemshop

Headless migration without rewriting checkout

The same architectural decision applied across two different platforms: the storefront goes headless in Nuxt, but account and checkout stay on the original platform. On VTEX, the account and checkout layers are deliberately not extended, and the two runtimes talk through an orderForm cookie jar and pixel-based session sync. On Nuvemshop, the purchase and account routes are handed back to the platform via reverse proxy on the same domain, with a Nitro BFF signing all communication. It removes the biggest risk of a headless migration: rewriting the logged-in area.

From 419 to 24 JS requests on a high-scale store

I rebuilt the chunk graph and hydration strategy of a large PPE operation without touching business rules. Manual chunking by group, inlined styles, removal of unnecessary preload and prefetch, on-demand hydration for blocks below the fold, a disk image cache that survives deploys, and an LCP preload mirroring the srcset per breakpoint. The store also serves an agent card and llms.txt, making it readable to AI agents.

Enrolment portal with a WhatsApp bot the school edits itself

An enrolment reservation portal integrated with the academic CRM and the visit scheduler, with WhatsApp support. The core decision was to model the entire conversation tree as versioned data, validated at the edge and editable by the school office through its own panel: changing the bot stopped being an engineer's deploy and became a task for the people answering, with a kill switch that reverts to the previous behaviour without a rollback. Message sending was moved off the critical path so families never wait on the queue.

Regulated prize draws, auditable end to end

Two nationwide promotional campaigns drawn against the Brazilian Federal Lottery. I modelled the lucky number as a federal ticket — a universe of 10 million across 100 series of 100,000 orders — with deterministic hash-based assignment, a uniqueness table, an audit trail and export in the layout required by the regulator. Every write goes through a server-side BFF that revalidates the credential on each request, backed by row-level security in the database.

How I lead

1

Clear standards and technical governance

I define architecture, guidelines, acceptance criteria and the definition of done before any sprint. I structure modular, reusable stacks. The team knows exactly what is expected and why.

2

In-depth code review and mentoring

Every review is a chance to teach. I pair program on critical decisions, set PR standards and equip the team to make good calls on their own.

3

Hands-on when the risk is high

On critical components, complex integrations or architectural decisions, I get into the code. I lead by example and by delivery, not just by title.

4

Alignment between product and engineering

I translate technical trade-offs into business language. I take part in product decisions, prioritization and technical roadmap with a focus on direct impact on business metrics.

Questions recruiters usually ask

  • I lead through three levers: (1) clear standards — architecture, guidelines, definition of done and reusable modular stacks; (2) in-depth code review and constant mentoring, where every PR is a chance to teach; (3) alignment with product on technical trade-offs to guarantee impact on business metrics. When the risk is high, I get into the code and lead by example.

  • I have hands-on experience with DDD, Clean Architecture, microservices, REST/GraphQL, and headless and multi-tenant architectures. I helped build Manux — a headless SaaS platform connected to 20+ e-commerce platforms, with its own payment method, which today powers benchmark projects in Latin America. I define non-functional criteria, run proofs of concept and make architectural decisions focused on scalability and performance.

  • Yes. My main specialty is front-end and web architecture, but I work fullstack when needed. On the backend I work with Node.js/TypeScript and PHP/Laravel, with experience in Python, Ruby and .NET, as well as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, Supabase, payment integrations (Pagame, Mercado Pago, PagPow!) and internal/external APIs. I also have strong experience with GenAI — integrating OpenAI and Gemini, building agents and orchestrating LLMs.

  • I am certified in Advanced AI-Assisted Development (Tech Leads Club, 2026) and I apply GenAI in production. At Manux, I integrated OpenAI and Gemini to automate operational workflows, built agents and subagents with defined rules and automated flows, implemented LLM orchestration for operational processes, and standardized responses in production environments with context control.

  • I work remotely or hybrid, with experience in distributed teams and cross-functional squads. I take on Tech Lead, Software Architect and Fullstack Engineering roles, combining technical leadership with hands-on work on highly complex products.
